The Freefolk Brewery

The Freefolk Brewery, founded by husband-and-wife duo Jeff and Sarah Edwards, is a craft brewery and taproom located at 25385 Midland Trail in Hico, West Virginia, near the New River Gorge National Park. The brewery opened in downtown Fayetteville in 2019 and expanded to Hico in fall 2022 with an upgraded 20-barrel brewhouse, offering American-style beers including Pale Ales, IPAs, and Kettle Sours alongside wood-fired pizza. The dog-friendly establishment operates Thursday through Sunday and features a spacious 20,000-square-foot facility that includes a production brewery, taproom, outdoor beer garden, and game room.
