Bake Shop at Red Wagon Plants

The Bake Shop at Red Wagon Plants is an on-site bakery housed in a newly constructed building at owner Julie Rubaud’s 20-year-old plant nursery located at 2408 Shelburne Falls Road in Hinesburg, Vermont. Opened in 2024 by Rubaud and initially run by bakers Amy Vogler and Carey Nershi, the bake shop now features James Beard Award semifinalist pastry chef Amanda Wildermuth and serves fresh house-baked goods including artisan breads, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches featuring locally sourced and farm-grown ingredients. Red Wagon Plants operates as a full-service horticultural destination offering vegetables, herbs, flowers, and shrubs, along with herb salts and vinegars, while hosting nearly 40 annual educational workshops and community events that have established it as a beloved local hub.
