Cosmic Cafe

Cosmic Café is a vegetarian restaurant located at 2912 Oak Lawn Avenue in Dallas specializing in Indian-inspired vegetarian and vegan dishes. Originally opened in 1992 as The Cosmic Cup by actor and restaurateur Kumar Pallana, the restaurant became an iconic community gathering space before closing in 2021 after more than 25 years in business. Reopened in March 2026 under longtime chef Deepak Chalise, Cosmic Café maintains its signature eclectic menu of Buddha’s Delight, samosas, and curried vegetables while preserving its bohemian spiritual atmosphere and upstairs yoga and meditation space.
