Harvest Kitchen

Harvest Kitchen is a nonprofit culinary job training program operated by Farm Fresh Rhode Island, established in 2009, serving youth ages 16-19 involved with the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth, and Families. Located at 10 Sims Avenue in Providence, the organization operates a local foods café featuring seasonally sourced ingredients while also producing a line of value-added products using surplus and B-grade produce from regional farms. The 20-week training program combines hands-on kitchen experience with retail sales skills and a paid internship, equipping participants with professional culinary expertise while reducing food waste and supporting local farmers.
