Memento Mori Cafe

Memento Mori Cafe is a vegan, goth-themed coffee shop located at 1533 NW 24th Ave in Portland’s Northwest District, opened in October 2024 by husband-and-wife team Correna and Justin Hernandez. The cafe serves creatively named espresso drinks called Goth-a-Chinos, plant-based pastries, and themed food items, while featuring dark and eclectic decor with local artwork available for purchase. Beyond its commercial operations, the business actively engages in community service, including hosting Dia de Muertos celebrations, fundraising for animal shelters impacted by the Palisades Fire, supporting women entrepreneurs, and closing to participate in ICE protests.
