Kate’s Ice Cream is a plant-based and gluten-free ice cream company based in Portland, Oregon, using organic coconut milk and cashew milk in their products. Founded in 2019 by owner Katelyn Williams, the business started at the Portland State University farmers market before expanding to multiple brick-and-mortar locations on Mississippi Avenue and NW 23rd Avenue. Kate’s has received recognition as national award-winning ice cream and was featured in Eater Portland’s 2024 list of the city’s essential vegan and vegetarian restaurants.
