Ice Queen

Ice Queen is a Chicana- and Indigenous-owned vegan paleteria located at 2012 SE 11th Avenue in Portland’s Hosford-Abernethy neighborhood. Founded by Rebecca Smith in 2018, Ice Queen crafts 100% plant-based Mexican-style ice pops and soft serve using local ingredients and rotating seasonal flavors, including unique varieties like oatchata and watermelon Tajín seasoning. Since opening its brick-and-mortar location in October 2022, Ice Queen has become deeply woven into Portland’s community, with products available at 45+ local grocery stores and markets while maintaining a vibrant storefront that celebrates Hispanic culture and plant-based dessert innovation.
