Blue Moon Bakery is a dedicated gluten-free bakery located at 403 SE Baseline Street in Hillsboro, Oregon, founded by Melissa Brue who started the business from her home in 2008 and expanded to a commercial kitchen after building a farmers market customer base. The bakery shifted its focus to gluten-free products after Brue’s daughter was diagnosed with gluten intolerance, and later opened a downtown Hillsboro retail location specializing in donuts, cookies, and specialty pastries, with an on-site kitchen for baking classes. Blue Moon serves customers through its retail storefront, mail orders, boxed cake and cookie mixes, and 16 local pickup locations across Oregon and Washington.
