Squash the Beef

Squash the Beef is a Black-owned, 100% plant-based vegan catering company and food truck established in 2019 in Cleveland, Ohio. The business specializes in vegan comfort food, reimagining traditional American and Southern dishes using plant-based ingredients, and operates a popup residency at 2207 Chester Avenue as well as a food buggy that appears at events and festivals throughout the city. In addition to catering services, Squash the Beef offers counter service, distributes bottled lemonades at retail locations, and has become known for its hearty plant-based burgers and soul food offerings.
