Plant Based Boss

Plant Based Boss is Hickory’s first fully plant-based restaurant, located at 104 2nd Avenue NW in downtown Hickory, NC. Founded and operated by husband-and-wife team Issa and Ashley Geran, who moved to their expanded Second Avenue location in May 2025, the restaurant serves smoothies, tacos, sandwiches, burritos, bowls, and pastries with plant-based meats and cheeses made in-house. The new location provides customers with enhanced amenities including an outdoor patio, dedicated parking lot, and more kitchen space for their innovative vegan menu.
