The Burque Bakehouse

The Burque Bakehouse is a small-batch, from-scratch modern bakery established in 2015 that specializes in hand-crafted croissants, viennoiserie, hearth-baked breads, and small sweets, along with coffee. Originally launched as a stand at Albuquerque’s downtown farmers’ markets, the bakery relocated to its permanent location at 640 Broadway Blvd SE in the South Broadway neighborhood of downtown Albuquerque at the end of 2020. The bakery sources ingredients from local farms and mills throughout New Mexico and the surrounding Four Corners region, and has earned recognition as both a Local Heroes winner from Edible New Mexico and a James Beard Award semifinalist for Outstanding Bakery.
