Van Leeuwen Ice Cream

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, located at 347 Grove Street in Jersey City, is an artisanal ice cream shop founded in 2008 by brothers Pete and Ben Van Leeuwen and Laura O’Neil as a food truck in New York City. The shop serves a full menu of made-from-scratch dairy and vegan ice cream along with cookies, cookie sandwiches, sundaes, and milkshakes, featuring unique flavors and vegan options using coconut milk, oat milk, and cashew milk bases. Van Leeuwen opened its Jersey City location in August 2024 and operates from 11 a.m. to midnight daily, with extended hours until 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
