Dairy Chef is a locally owned ice cream and burger restaurant located in Elkhorn at 3223 N 204th Street, serving high-quality soft serve ice cream, hand-pattied burgers, and hand-cut French fries since it originated as part of the Dairy Sweet chain in 1969. Owned by Mike Ozmun and his family, the establishment is known for generous portions, signature items like mile-high sundaes and specialty ice cream cones, and maintains a small-town atmosphere despite Omaha’s growth. Dairy Chef actively supports the local community through sponsorships of schools and businesses, and hosts community events including outdoor movie nights called “Flix at the Chef.”
