Whisk: a Sustainable Bakeshop
About
Whisk: a Sustainable Bakeshop is a locally-focused bakery located at 2201 Cherokee Street in St. Louis that specializes in sweet and savory treats made with as many local and seasonal ingredients as possible. Founded by Kaylen Wissinger, the business began as Farm Fresh Cupcakes at the Tower Grove Farmers’ Market in 2011 before opening its brick-and-mortar location in November 2012. The bakeshop is deeply committed to sustainability, sourcing eggs, dairy, produce, and coffee from nearby farms and businesses, composting organic waste, and using compostable packaging, while also partnering with local vendors like Mother Tongue Coffee and Big Heart Tea Company.
