Rise Authentic Baking Co. is an allergen-friendly bakery and coffee shop located on the West Side of Grand Rapids at 1220 Fulton Street W. Founded in 2015 by Becca and Nick Van Liere, the business started in a small apartment before expanding to its own brick-and-mortar location in 2019. Everything they produce is entirely gluten-free, vegan, soy-free, and free from artificial flavors, dyes, and sweeteners, offering a wide variety of pastries, cakes, tarts, and savory items for both the allergy-conscious and everyday customers. Beyond their commitment to inclusive food, the owners—driven by their backgrounds in environmental studies and social work—actively engage in community involvement through sustainable practices and local partnerships.
