Shuga x Ice is an African-inspired artisan ice cream and frozen dessert company founded by Ndidiamaka Agu, dedicated to bringing the rich and diverse flavors of Africa to the United States. The business, established in 2021, creates handcrafted, small-batch ice cream with flavors like Tea & Bread, Puff Puff, and Gbas Gbos that celebrate African culinary traditions while serving as a platform to foster emotional intimacy within African and immigrant communities. Currently operating at Solaire Social in Silver Spring, Maryland, Shuga x Ice also hosts educational ice cream-making classes and community events supporting Black women in business.
