Pugnuts Ice Cream Shop is a coastal Maine ice cream and gelato shop located at 1276 Surry Road in Surry, established in 2016 by co-owners Carlton Holmes and Eric Treworgy. All ice cream and gelato are made on-site using premium ingredients, with ice cream and flavorings sourced locally in New England and gelatos made with imported Italian ingredients and handmade waffle cones. The shop operates seasonally from a charming 19th-century general store near the water and has become a community gathering place, with their products also sold at multiple Maine retailers including Hannaford locations and featured in Acadia National Park.
