Fork Food Lab

Fork Food Lab is a nonprofit food business incubator and shared commercial kitchen facility located at 95-97 Darling Avenue in South Portland, Maine. Founded in 2016 as a 5,200-square-foot space in Portland’s West Bayside neighborhood, Fork Food Lab transitioned to nonprofit status in 2018 and relocated to its current 42,000-square-foot facility in South Portland in 2023 to better serve its growing community of food entrepreneurs. The organization supports approximately 70 small food businesses—including consumer packaged goods producers, bakeries, catering companies, and food trucks—by providing access to commercial equipment, workspace, mentorship, and locally sourced ingredients to help launch and scale sustainable Maine-based food enterprises.
