Blanchard’s Creamery Homemade Ice Cream and Coffee Shop

Blanchard’s Creamery is a family-owned ice cream shop and cafe housed in a historic 1800s barn in Edgecomb, Maine, three miles off Route 1. The shop makes over 60 flavors of homemade, small-batch ice cream, along with frozen treats, homemade waffle cones, smoothies, coffee, espresso, and fresh baked goods. Founded by Mary Blanchard, a former Boston-based social worker who relocated to her native Midcoast Maine to pursue her passion for making artisanal ice cream and baking, the creamery opened in 2021 and has become a community gathering place featuring free Wi-Fi, cozy barn seating, and seasonal events.
