New World Kitchen

New World Kitchen is a Des Moines-based plant-based meal prep service founded by self-taught chef Madeline Krantz. Originally launched in 2012 as New World Café—Des Moines’ first all-vegan restaurant in the East Village—the business was relaunched as a meal prep service in 2020 after the restaurant closed, now operating from a commercial kitchen space in the Sherman Hill neighborhood. The takeout-only service offers small-batch vegan meals, sides, and desserts made from whole food, plant-based ingredients, with menu items available for weekly pre-orders and pick-up on Mondays.
