Amina’s African Sambusas

Amina’s African Sambusas is a family-owned African restaurant located at 6555 W Overland Rd, Suite 104 in Boise, Idaho, established in July 2021. The restaurant specializes in authentic African cuisine, including traditional sambusas, goat dishes, and African bread, drawing from recipes with roots in Kenya and East Africa. Operating as a for-profit business, Amina’s is run by a mother-son duo who began as a catering and pop-up business in 2012, and the family immigrated to America as refugees in 2005 before establishing their restaurant venture to share their culinary heritage with the Boise community.
