Here’s The Scoop

Here’s The Scoop is a Black woman-owned ice cream and dessert shop located at 2824 Georgia Avenue NW in Washington, DC, across from Howard University. Founded by Karin Sellers and opened in June 2019, the shop serves hand-dipped ice cream, sundaes, milkshakes, and baked goods sourced from local minority-owned businesses, as well as dairy-free and sugar-free options. The business is actively involved in community engagement events, operating under the motto “Bringing the Community Together One Treat At a Time.”
