LIX Uptown Ice Cream is a scratch-made ice cream shop located in central Phoenix’s Melrose District that specializes in small-batch, premium lactose-free ice cream churned fresh daily using its own sweet cream base recipe. Founded by Rich Dolan, a Phoenix local since 1996 with 30 years of food and hospitality experience, the shop was conceived during the COVID-19 pandemic with the intention of creating a welcoming escape where guests can enjoy high-quality ice cream in a vibrant, playful atmosphere. LIX features rotating unique flavors like Salted Rosemary Butter Pecan and Mango Sticky Rice alongside classic offerings, complemented by a retro-themed lounge area with games and vintage décor.
